Public Wi-Fi has escaped the scrutiny that Operator networks receive from Regulators.
In general, there are two types of Wi-Fi hot spot – Those owned or leased by the operators, and those not owned by the Operators.
For both categories, regulators need to know:
How easy is it to sign-in to the hot spot?
How secure is the hot spot? I.e. What (if any) encryption is used?
Once connected, is the experience seamless throughout the location?
What are the KPIs (Throughput up and down, video experience etc.)

Develop a schedule of Wi-Fi Testing for the clients and walk-test each location.
Use Commercial Handsets with smart testing applications where possible.‘Engineering’ handsets can be used if required by the clients.
Develop a schedule for Wi-Fi Testing across the UAE and test each location
Produce a report for each Wi-Fi location.
